After a successful series in a COVID affected racing environment last year, we're looking forward to having spectators trackside for this popular addition to the racing calendar.

The Hunter is one of four regions which will host the regional championships with each region’s final worth $100,000 in prizemoney. The series will culminate in the State Final at Tabcorp Park Menangle on Saturday 29 May where a further $100,000 prizemoney is on offer.

The Hunter region championships are open to Australian bred pacers 4 years or older with a National Ratings Points up to 70 trained and stabled in the Hunter & North West Zones.

In 2020, trainer Clayton Harmey and driver Jack Callaghan claimed maiden Group 1 victory with KANYE CRUSADER taking the honours in the final.

Hear what Harmey had to say following the win.

Four heats will be conducted this Friday night, see fields here and more heats on Friday 14 May. Hunter Region Consolation Final and the Group 1 $100,000 Final will be held Friday 21 May 2021.
