Five year old mare QUE SERA qualified in the sixth qualifying heat last Friday night for Millers Forest trainer Chris Bourke.
After drawing awkwardly inside the second line driver Guy Chapple was able to extricate away from the marker pegs and in a lightning move took up the lead after travelling 400 metres.
The mare’s recent good form – two seconds and a first in its last 3 starts – demonstrated that she would be competitive in the series.
Having drawn the exact same barrier same in Saturday nights Final both trainer and driver Guy Chapple will be hopeful of luck on their side and being provided with the same opportunity as in the heat.
